Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Quebec Nominees Pty Ltd trading as Thingz Gifts, a Bentley, Western Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Potty Shooter Toilet Darts Games from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to comply with the requirements of Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Consumer Goods (Projectile Toys) Safety Standard 2020.

Specifically, the product is capable of shooting projectiles at a high velocity but the packaging is not labelled with the appropriate safety warning with consequential risks of laceration and eye injury, all serious safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Dart Game Toys are subject to this recall:

  • Potty Shooter Toilet Darts Games, novelty games with plastic darts and a dart board for playing while sitting the toilet with a product code of 320036

==> No barcodes, APNs, EANs, UPCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the Game Toys do not comply with Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Consumer Goods (Projectile Toys) Safety Standard 2020.

The product does not have the warnings required for projectile toys and as such, users, parents and other caregivers may not be aware of the hazard if the product is not correctly labelled.
