US FlagUS/Washington: The United States Department of Agriculture, a Washington, DC food safety and regulatory authority issues a Public Health Alert for certain ready-to-eat (“RTE”) Taylor Farms Meat and Poultry Salads containing Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) regulated Onions recalled by Thomson International due to concerns that these products may be contaminated with Salmonella Newport and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following ready-to-eat Taylor Farms Meat and Poultry Salad products were produced by Taylor Farms on July 30 and 31, 2020 are subject to this recall:

  • Chicken Salad Deli Snack, 10-ounce plastic sealed containers with batch/lot codes of TFD212AU3 and TFD213AU3 with best-by dates 08/06/2020 or 08/07/2020
  • Chicken Salad, sold in 41.35-ounce plastic bags with a use-by date of 08/04/20 or 08/05/20 and batch/lot codes of TFD212AU8 or TFD213AU8
  • H-E-B Shake Rattle Bowl Southwest Salad with Chicken, sold in 7.75-ounce plastic sealed containers with a best-if-used-by date of Aug 10/2020 and a batch/lot code of TFD213AU20
  • Marketside Southwest Style Salad with Chicken, sold in 17.25-ounce plastic sealed containers with a best-if-used-by date of 08/11/20 or 08/12/2020 and batch/lot codes TFD212AU26 or TFD213AU26
  • Sausage Breakfast Scramble Bowl, sold in 7.25-ounce plastic sealed containers with batch/lot codes of TFD212AU8 and TFD213AU8 and best-if-used by 08/06/2020 or 08/07/2020
  • Taylor Farms Cheddar Cheese & Chicken Salad Snack Tray, sold in 6.2- ounce plastic sealed containers with use-by dates 08/06/20 or 08/07/20 and batch/lot codes of TFD212AU7 or TFD213AU7

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Onion-containing products bear the establishment number “P-34733” or “34733” inside the USDA mark of inspection or printed on the container. These products were shipped to retail locations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salad products identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Meat and Poultry Salad products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the Salads to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
