CMP Group Dock Edge Ladders Recall [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: CMP Group Ltd., a Woodbridge, Ontario establishment, recalls an estimated 674 Dock Edge Ladders from the Canadian marketplace due to reported exposed sharp edges in the Ladder’s design and consequential risks of laceration and other injuries, all serious safety hazards.

Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following consumer Dock Ladder products are subject to this recall:

  • Three (3)-Step Dock Ladders, sold with a model number of DE2053F and a UPC of 776113205303
  • Four (4)-Step Dock Ladders, sold with a model number of DE2054F and a UPC of 776113205402
  • Five (5)-Step Dock Ladders, sold with a model number of DE2055F and a UPC of 776113205501

==> No barcodes, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to Health Canada, the recalled Dock Ladders have an exposed sharp edge that could pose a laceration hazard if not assembled correctly.

As of July 14, 2020, the company has received two (2) reports of lacerations in Canada.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Dock Ladder products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact the place of purchase for an exchange.
