Crazy Aarons branded Mini Electric Thinking Putty Toys, sold with a model designation/style of NF003 – Neon Flash.

These products are marketed as non-toxic, soft textured silicone Putty Toys that are tearable, stretchable and bounceable, available in different colors and aimed at children aged three (3) years of age and up. The silicone recalled Putty Toys are marketed, sold and delivered in flattened, rounded shoe polish-like silver tins with the brand logo “Crazy Aarons” and the specific “flavor” variety appearing in bold letters. The net weight of each Putty Toy is stated as 3.2 ounces (approximately 100 grams).

No barcodes, UPCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, batch/lot designations, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Crazy Aarons branded Mini Electric Thinking Putty Toys include the reported finding that the migration of the chemical Boron from the Toy Slime is too high (measured value up to 2442 mg/kg) when utilizing the Toy in a reasonable manner consistent with its intended use.

Specifically, ingestion or dermal contact with an excessive quantity of Boron may harm the health of children by damaging their reproductive system.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these Crazy Aarons branded Mini Electric Thinking Putty Toys do not comply with the requirements of Europe’s Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-3.

Consequently, a recall of these Crazy Aarons branded Mini Electric Thinking Putty Toys and a withdrawal of the products from the online marketplace has been ordered.
