Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Markwell Foods, a Crows Nest, New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Shore Mariner Seafood Sticks from the Australian marketplace due to undeclared Egg and Soy, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Seafood Stick products are subject to this recall:

  • Shore Mariner Seafood Sticks, sold in one (1) kilogram plastic bags; affected batch/lots: all best-before date codes up to and including JUN 2022, excluding product already re-labelled to include Egg and Soy ingredients and with an APN/EAN of 9330913002619

==> No barcodes, APNs, EANs, UPCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the presence of undeclared Egg and Soy.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Shore Mariner Seafood Sticks and could be allergic to their Egg Allergy and/or Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
