UK FlagUK/London: Highland Bay Seafoods, an Inverness, Scotland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Baked Whole King Scallops with a Creamy Leek & Kale Sauce meals topped with Mash Potato from the British marketplace due to suspected risk of undeclared Fish, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Prepared Seafood meals are subject to recall:

  • Highland Bay Seafoods branded Baked Whole King Scallops with a Creamy Leek & Kale Sauce topped with Mash Potato, sold in 200 gram packages consisting of two (2) Scallops per package with batch/lot codes of R006, R007, R008 or 20106 and best-before end dates of 07/2020, 09/2020, 12/2020 or 04/2021

==> No barcodes, EANs, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, this product contains Fish, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to Fish.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Baked Whole King Scallops with a Creamy Leek & Kale Sauce meals and could be allergic to their Fish ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
