Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Carrier products are subject to this recall:

  • Kathmandu branded Karinjo Baby Carriers, designed, marketed and sold as back-pack style child carriers with a SKU of 40634, visible on the product identification label

==> No barcodes, APNs, UPCs, DINs, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the Carrier’s Stand Hinge may be missing one or two Bolts. Importantly, missing or damaged Bolts may cause the stand for the Karinjo Baby Carrier to be unstable, resulting in increased risk of a child falling or the Carrier tipping over when placing a child in or out of the Carrier, increasing the risk of serious injury to the child.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Kathmandu branded Karinjo Baby Carrier products, please do not use them with your child nor let him or her play on, in or near the Carrier.

Instead, kindly inspect the Stand Hinge to determine if there are any missing Bolts or bring it to the Kathmandu store for inspection. If the Baby Carrier requires repair, please stop using the device and contact your nearest Kathmandu store to organise a replacement.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly lacerations, bone fracture, eye injury and/or concussion.
