UK FlagUK/London: Kepak Foods, a Kirkham, Preston establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Rustlers and Feasters Hot Dogs products from the British marketplace due to suspected faulty packaging seals and consequential risk of bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Hot Dogs products are subject to recall:

  • Feasters Hot Dogs, sold in 140 gram packages with a use-by date of 15 June to 30 June 2020
  • Rustlers Classic Hot Dogs, sold in 146 gram packages with a use-by date of 15 June to 30 June 2020
  • Rustlers Classic Hot Dogs, sold in 271 gram packages with a use-by date of 15 June to 30 June 2020

==> No barcodes, EANs, DINs, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, some seals for the Hot Dog products listed above may be faulty. If this defect occurs, it could make these products unsafe to eat.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Hot Dog products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Hot Dogs to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Please note: while these Hot Dog products may be close to or past their use-by dates, they may be in your freezers or storage chillers. If you have purchased these products within the past two months, please check your refrigerators, chillers and/or freezers to ensure these food products have not been stored for future consumption. If the defect is found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for refund.
