Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Lupipop Kids Pty Ltd., a Point Cook, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Oribel Cocoon branded Children’s High Chairs from the Australian marketplace due to suspected stress fracture of key support components leading to possible structural failure of the chair with consequential risks of falls, laceration, concussion and bone fracture, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s High Chairs are subject to this recall:

  • Oribel Cocoon branded Children’s High Chairs, sold as convertible high chairs for small children with infant recliner, chair and table functions. The recalled High Chairs were manufactured in July 2018 or before and do not have an “R” mark.

==> No barcodes, APNs, UPCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The manufacturing date can be found by checking the warning sticker on the back of the High Chairs or by checking the Compliance Sticker under the tray. This will be in the format: (MF) MM/YYYY

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled High Chairs can be found on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, excessive rocking of the High Chairs may lead to cracks in the chair legs. If this defect occurs it can lead to the the Chairs’ legs breaking with further tructural failure, fall and injury hazards to the child, including laceration, concussion and/or bone fracture.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Oribel Cocoon branded Children’s High Chairs, please do not use them for your child or allow your child to play on or near the Chairs. Instead, kindly contact Lupipop Kids Pty Ltd to arrange a replacement product.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat laceration, bone fracture, eye injury and/or concussion.
