US FlagUS/Washington: Dick’s Sporting Goods, a Coraopolis, Pennsylvania establishment, recalls an estimated 63,000 Field & Stream branded Safety Ropes from the American marketplace due to suspected structural failure under load and consequential risk of falls, laceration, concussion and bone fracture, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Field & Stream Life Line, Linesman and Safety Ropes used to reduce the risk of a fall while climbing.

  • The recalled Safety Ropes are black with orange lines and were sold in a single or three pack. They have a carabineer that hooks onto the harness and a black and red label with a style number of HEH01299, HEH01882Z or HEH01530 printed in the bottom corner of the label.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Safety Ropes can fail when used in freezing conditions, posing fall and injury hazards. Dick’s Sporting Goods has received one (1) report of the Field & Stream Life Line, Linesman and Safety Ropes failing when used during freezing weather, resulting in a concussion and knee injury to the climber.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Field & Stream Life Line, Linesman and Safety Ropes, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund if you have a receipt or store credit without a receipt.
