Among the sixty (60) recalls the NHTSA announced this May comes news of the following:

Logo - Mercedes-Benz USAMercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (“MBUSA”), a Sandy Springs, Georgia establishment and subsidiary of Daimler AG of of Stuttgart, Germany, has recalled an estimated 747 model year 2012 C250, C250 Coupe, C300, C350, C350 Coupe, C63 AMG, and C63 AMG Coupe vehicles equipped with a front passenger air bag assembly replaced under a prior recall and marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Air Bags – Incorrect replacement Passenger Air Bag installed

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V298000 reports an incorrect replacement Front Passenger Air Bag may have been installed.

According to the NHTSA, an incorrect passenger air bag may not provide adequate protection, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash, MVA or other impact event with consequential injury and/or life-changing results.

Mercedes-Benz will notify registered owners, and dealers will replace the passenger air bag module, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin June 26, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-367-6372 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”). No manufacturer’s designation was listed for this recall at press time.
