Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Decathlon (Australia) Pty Ltd. recalls certain batch/lots of Baby Seat 100 B-CLIP Bicycle Baby Carriers from the Australian marketplace due to suspected falls, bone fracture, concussion, laceration and property damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Bicycle Accessories are subject to this recall:

  • Decathlon branded Baby Seat 100 B-CLIP Bicycle Baby Carriers, consisting of a bicycle baby carrier marketed and sold for children aged 9 months to 4-5 years, weighing under 22 kilograms (~48.5 pounds) and compatible with 26″ or 28″ Btwin Decathlon Mountain, Hybrid and City Bikes with B’Clip Pannier Rack with a model code 8486914 and a reference article of 2538309.

==> No barcodes, APNs, UPCs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, if the connection point between the Seat and the buckle breaks, the child may not be adequately restrained and there is a risk of the child falling from the seat, resulting in serious injury. You should not use the recalled Bicycle Baby Carriers identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Bicycle Baby Carriers, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the Baby Carriers to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat lacerations, bone fractures, eye injury and/or concussion.
