According to the USDA, the Chicken products subject to recall bear establishment number “P115” printed on the packaging next to the batch/lot code. These items were shipped to retail locations US nationwide and exported into Canada.

The problem was discovered when Conagra Brands received consumer complaints about rocks being in the products and the firm then notified US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) of the issue. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chicken Bowl identified above.

This recall is an expansion of an earlier notification in which 130,763 pounds of Healthy Choice branded Power Bowls were withdrawn from the US marketplace for the same reason, specifically suspected stone fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, as follows:

  • Healthy Choice branded Power Bowls – Chicken Feta & Farro, sold in 9.5-ounce bowl/cartons with a batch/lot code of 5006002320, a best-by date of 10/19/2020 and a UPC of 072655001800
  • Healthy Choice branded Power Bowls – Chicken Feta & Farro, Boils Ènergie Poulet Feta et Épeautre, sold in 9.5-ounce bowl/cartons with a batch/lot code of 5006002320, a best-by date of 10/19/2020 and a UPC of 072655003026

In general, if stone or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

Please note: these items were sold to and marketed by retail locations US nationwide and exported to and sold in Canada.
