Sterno LED Drivers for LED Lighting Kit Recall [US]

US FlagUS/Washington: Sterno Home Inc., a Coquitlam, British Columbia establishment, recalls an estimated 77,000 Sterno Home Path Light Kits with LED Power Supplies from the American marketplace due to suspected component detachment and consequential risks of electric shock, fire, burn and injury, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves Hampton Bay, Patriot Lighting and Paradise light kits sold with Sterno Home LED Power Supplies.

  • The recalled Power Supplies alter the voltage going through the light circuit. The models, “Hampton Bay”, “Patriot Lighting” and “Paradise” are included in this recall.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Path Lights have a defective Power Supply in that one of the plug’s blades that can remain in the AC outlet when the LED Power Supply is removed from the electrical outlet. If this defect occurs, it poses a risk of electric shock to the user and anyone who touches the user to assist him or her. At press time, the firm has received one (1) report of the Light’s Power Supply plug blade detaching in an AC outlet. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Sterno Home Recalls Path Light Kits, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Sterno Home to receive a free replacement LED power supply and installation instructions.
