Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: FIT-BioCeuticals Limited, a Surry Hills, New South Wales establishment, recalls all current batch/lots of Blackmores Professional Duo Celloids from the Australian marketplace due to suspected Mould contamination and consequential risk of infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Blackmores Professional Duo Celloids are subject to this recall:

  • Blackmores Professional Duo Celloids SCF, sold in 170 and 84 tablets in bottles, with batch/lots of 292798, 294442, 295592, 296051, 297013, 298225, 298013 or 296052 and an ARTG designation of 20248

According to the ACCC, the recalled Tablets have been identified as having microbial mould growth (specifically, Penicillium) appearing on tableted product. This appears to be occur after some time in storage and is visible to the naked eye as black or brown patchy spots. You should neither serve nor consume any of the recalled Celloid products identified above. Penicillium mould can cause an adverse reaction, including an allergic reaction, and may pose a risk to people with weakened immune systems.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Blackmores Professional Duo Celloids SCF, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
