US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Summitt Labs, a Tampa, Florida establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Kore Organic branded Watermelon CBD Oil Tincture products from the American marketplace due to suspected levels of the chemical Lead in excess of regulatory standards and consequential risk of Lead poisoning with consequential risks of pain, muscle weakness, Paresthesia, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, poor appetite, weight loss,, metallic taste in the mouth, Shock, Hemolysis and Kidney Damage. A child with lead poisoning may not look or act sick. Lead poisoning in children can cause learning disabilities, developmental delays and lower IQ scores, all health and safety hazards.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following CBD Oil Drugs are subject to this recall:

  • Kore Organic Watermelon CBD Oil Tincture, sold in 30 ml bottles with a batch designation of 730 and a lot designation of K018

Please consult the photograph above for details of the drug’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Summitt Labs has recalled certain batch lots of Kore Organic branded Watermelon CBD Oil Tincture after the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services tested a random sample of the product and found the product to contain lead levels at 4.7 ppm. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled CBD Oil Tincture products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm drug poisoning, adulteration or contamination.

Disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect the drinking water supply and the ecosystem. Do not dispose of this product through your household sewer system. Instead, consult with your local pharmacist or municipal waste authority for disposal instructions.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled CBD Oil Tincture products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the CBD Oil to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
