UK FlagUK/London: Lidl Great Britain Limited, a London, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Baresa Pesto alla Genovese (Green) and Baresa Red Pesto from the British marketplace due to undeclared Peanuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Pesto Sauces are subject to recall:

  • Baresa Pesto alla Genovese (Green), sold in 190 gram bottles with best-before dates up to and including October 2022
  • Baresa Red Pesto, sold in 190 gram bottles with best-before dates up to and including October 2022

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, these Baresa Pesto alla Genovese (Green) and Baresa Red Pesto may contain Peanuts, making them a serious health hazard for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to peanuts.

Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
