UK FlagUK/London: Co-op Limited, a Birmingham, West Midlands establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Co-op In-store Bakery 4 Glazed Ring Doughnuts from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling/mispackaging and consequential undeclared Milk and Soya, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Ring Doughnuts are subject to recall:

  • Co-op branded In-Store Bakery 4 Glazed Ring Doughnuts, sold with a best-before date of up to and including 13 May 2020

No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Ring Doughnuts can be found on the Web site above.

According to the FSA, these Ring Doughnuts reportedly contain Milk and Soya, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Milk or Milk constituents and/or an allergy to Soya.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Co-op In-store Bakery 4 Glazed Ring Doughnuts and could be allergic to their Milk and Soya ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
