UK FlagUK/London: WM Morrisons Supermarkets PLC, a Bradford, West Yorkshire establishment, recalls all current batch/lots of Market Street branded Living Herb products from the British marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Living Herb products are subject to recall (in alphabetical order):

  • Morrisons Market Street Living Basil, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020
  • Morrisons Market Street Living Basil – Large, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020
  • Morrisons Market Street Living Chives, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020
  • Morrisons Market Street Living Coriander, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020
  • Morrisons Market Street Living Coriander – Large, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020
  • Morrisons Market Street Living Dill, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020
  • Morrisons Market Street Living Flat Parsley, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020
  • Morrisons Market Street Living Mint, sold in plastic packages; affected batch/lots: all products purchased between 3 May 2020 and 9 May 2020

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Morrisons has taken the precautionary step of recalling Market Street Living Herbs because these products might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Herbs identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Herbs, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Herbs to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Listeriosis.
