US FlagUS/Washington: Fully Popped, an Indianapolis, Indiana establishment, recalls an estimated 4,900 Poppin’ Cobs branded Microwave Popcorn products from the American marketplace thought to have been exclusively sold at Uncommon Good Stores due to suspected fire and consequential risks of burns, smoke inhalation and property damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain batch/lots of Poppin’ Cobs 10-packs of Microwave Popcorn on the Cob, as follows:

  • The recalled Microwave Popcorn products were packaged in a brown box with a black top with 10 Poppin’ Cobs individually wrapped brown bags for popping. The brand, “Poppin’ Cobs” is printed on the front of the box and a date code of 042121 can be found on the back of the box.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Microwave Popcorn products can be found on the Web site listed above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Microwave Popcorn’s paper bag can catch fire in the microwave, posing fire, burn and smoke inhalation hazards. Poppin’ Cobs has received five (5) reports of the brown paper bags in which the Popcorn was cooked catching on fire in the microwave. At press time, no injuries had been reported,

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Poppin’ Cobs 10-packs of Microwave Popcorn on the Cob, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
