Canada/Ottawa: Lower Valley Beverage Company, a Flesherton, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Sapsucker branded The Original One – Organic Sparkling Tree Water from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected swelling cans and consequential risks of laceration, spoilage, bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Sparkling Water products are subject to this recall:

  • Sapsucker branded The Original One – Organic Sparkling Tree Water, sold in single 355 ml cans with a best-before date/time code of 01/2021/06 0060 HH:MM 017 (where HH:MM is the time stamp) and a UPC of 8 98171 00001 7
  • Sapsucker branded The Original One – Organic Sparkling Tree Water, sold in mini-cases of eight (8) – 355 ml cans with a best-before date code of 01/2021/06, a batch/lot of SS-017 and a UPC of 8 98171 00004 8

According to the CFIA, Lower Valley Beverage Company has recalled certain batch/lots of Sapsucker branded The Original One – Organic Sparkling Tree Water products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected faulty can seams. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Canned Water products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Sapsucker branded The Original One – Organic Sparkling Tree Water products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisoning.
