US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Mondelēz Global LLC, an East Hanover, New Jersey establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Nabisco Ritz branded Cheese Cracker Sandwiches – Family Size products from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Peanuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Snack Food products are subject to this recall:

  • Nabisco Ritz branded Cheese Cracker Sandwiches Family Size, sold in 21.6 ounce cartons with best-when-used-by date codes of 18SEP20, 20SEP20, 28SEP20, 29SEP20, 30SEP20, 01OCT20 or 02OCT20 and a UPC of 0 44000 03826 7

According to the FDA, Mondelēz Global has recalled certain batch/lots of Nabisco Ritz branded Cheese Cracker Sandwiches Family Size from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Peanuts.

The recall was initiated because the outer packaging indicates that the Cheese Cracker Sandwich products indicate the company’s Cheese Cracker variety, while the individually-wrapped product actually contain packages of the Peanut Butter variety.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Nabisco Ritz branded Cheese Cracker Sandwiches and could be allergic to their Peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
