Canada/Ottawa: Farm Boy 2012 Inc., an Ottawa, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Farm Boy branded Spinach Spread & Dip products from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Spread & Dip products are subject to this recall:

• Farm Boy branded Spinach Spread & Dip, sold in 283 gram containers with a best-before date code of 13 MAY 2020 and a UPC of 8 08912 00452 5

According to the CFIA, Farm Boy has recalled certain batch/lots of Farm Boy branded Spinach Spread & Dip products from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Egg.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Farm Boy branded Spinach Spread & Dip products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
