Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Bath Toys products are subject to this recall:

  • Animal Bath Toys for Children, consisting of animal bath toys with each package of three (3) toys including a duck, a horse and a lamb and sold with a product designation of 669-004A

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, Diethylhexyl Phthalate (“DEHP”) is a commonly used plasticiser used to make plastics such as polyvinyl chloride (“PVC”) soft and flexible. A risk of reproductive toxicity exists for young children if they extensively chew or suck on objects with unsafe levels of DEHP.

Testing has shown these Toy products do not comply with Australia’s permanent ban on children’s products in that they reportedly contain more than 1% of the chemical DEHP. These products are banned under the ‘Consumer Protection Notice No. 11 of 2011, Permanent Ban on Children’s Products containing more than 1% diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP)’.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Animal Bath Toys for Children, please do not use them nor allow your child play with or near the Toys. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Please note: disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect the drinking water supply and the ecosystem.
