Canada/Ottawa: St. Francis Herb Farm, a Combermere, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of St. Francis Herb Farm branded Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Mould (Mold) contamination and consequential risk of infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Coconut Oil products are subject to this recall:

  • St. Francis Herb Farm branded Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil, sold in 370 gram tubs with a batch/lot designation of C9720320BBMA2021MA and a UPC of 8 17695 00910 8
  • St. Francis Herb Farm branded Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil, sold in 800 gram tubs with a batch/lot designation of CC9720420BBMA2021MA and a UPC of 8 17695 00911 5

According to the CFIA, St. Francis Herb Farm recalls certain batch/lots of St. Francis Herb Farm branded Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Mould contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Virgin Coconut Oil identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled St. Francis Herb Farm branded Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat mould infection.
