Among the forty one (41) recalls the European Union has announced in its second report of April 2020, the following recall notification was made:

Baninni branded Rosco Baby Walker Recall [EU]

Baninni branded Rosco Baby Walker products, sold with a model designation of BNBW004, a batch/lot code of W180604-56 and a barcode/EAN/UPC of 5420038783198. The recalled product is a baby walker device designed to allow small infants to perambulate in an enclosed indoor space such as a playroom or living room or outdoors with adult supervision.

No best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other codes were listed with this recall.

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Baninni branded Rosco Baby Walker products include the reported finding that the recalled Baby Walkers lack sufficient structural strength to safely hold and support a child when she or he is operating the device in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use.

Specifically, the Baninni branded Rosco Baby Walkers could break while carrying the child. If this defect occurs, the child could fall onto the floor or ground and suffer consequential lacerations, bone fractures, concussion and other injuries. Depending on the circumstances, the speed of the device when structural failure occurs as well as the overall health and age of the child, these injuries could be life-changing and/or life-threatening.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these Baninni branded Rosco Baby Walker products do not comply with the European Commission Directive regulations contained in EU Standard EN 1273 concerning the health and safety of Childcare Articles and Children’s Equipment.

Consequently, a recall of these Baninni Rosco Baby Walker products and a withdrawal of the product from the European marketplace has been ordered
