Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Sejong Global Trading Pty Ltd, a Clayton South, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Castard Soboro Bread products from the Australian marketplace due to undeclared Peanuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following baked goods are subject to this recall:

  • Castard (Custard) Soboro Bread, sold in 130 gram loaves with a best-before date code of 2021.06.10 and an APN/EAN of 8 801068 097559

According to the ACCC, Sejong Global Trading has recalled certain batch/lots of Castard Soboro Bread products from the Australian marketplace due to undeclared Peanuts.

==> For information about Nut Allergy (including Peanuts and Tree Nuts), please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab at the top of this page.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Castard Soboro Bread products and could be allergic to their Peanuts ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
