US FlagCanada FlagUS/Washington & Canada/Ottawa: The Manhattan Toy Company LLC, a Minneapolis, Minnesota establishment recalls an estimated total 3,998 of Musical Lili Llama Toys (approximately 3,935 in the US and approximately 63 in Canada) from the American and Canadian marketplaces due to suspected component detachment and consequential risk of choking, ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Musical Lili Llama Wooden Activity Toys, as follows:

  • The recalled Wooden Llama Activity Toys have a multi-colored metal xylophone on the top, two (2) wood mallets, a detachable maraca tail on the back, four (4) spinning squares on the front, two (2) clacking panels on the sides and two (2) spinning flowers on the sides. A batch/lot code of 217120 IL can found printed on the inside of the side panel below the company name and address.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Llama Wooden Activity Toys can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the screws used to attach the spinning flowers to the sides of the recalled Wooden Toys can become loose and fall off, posing choking, ingestion and GI tract ingestion tract injuries for young children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Wooden Llama Activity Toys, please do not use them nor let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly contact Manhattan Toy for a free repair kit.

Please note: this is a joint recall from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) and Health Canada (“HCSC”).
