US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Mountain Rose Herbs (“MRH”), a Eugene, Oregon establishment, recalls all current batch/lots and sizes of its Organic Kudzu Root Herbal Dietary Supplements due to suspected risk of Salmonella contamination and consequential risk of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Dietary Supplement products are subject to this recall:

  • Organic Kudzu Root Herbal Supplement, sold in clear plastic or poly-woven bag with net weights ranging from four (4) ounces to fifty (50) pounds with batch/lot designations of 24247 and 24247 between the dates of 6/17/2019 to 3/2/2020

According to the FDA, Mountain Rose Herbs (“MRH”) has recalled all current batch/lots and sizes of its Organic Kudzu Root Herbal Dietary Supplement products. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Dietary Supplements identified above.

Mountain Rose Herbs also distributed product directly to customers in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY as well as the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Organic Kudzu Root Herbal Dietary Supplements, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Dietary Supplements to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Salmonelosis.
