US FlagUS/Silver Spring: WinCo Foods, LLC, a Boise, Idaho establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of WinCo Foods branded Frozen Blackberries and WinCo Foods branded Frozen Berry Medley manufactured by Rader Farms, a Lynden, Washington establishment, from the American marketplace due to suspected risk of Norovirus contamination and consequential risk of viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Berries are subject to this recall:

  • WinCo Foods Frozen Blackberries, sold in 16 ounce bags with a best-by code of Dec/09/2021 and a UPC of 70552-30502
  • WinCo Foods Frozen Berry Medley, sold in 16 ounce bags with a best-by code of Dec/09/2021 and a UPC of 70552-30522
  • WinCo Foods Frozen Berry Medley, sold in 32 ounce bags with a best-by code of Dec/09/2021 and a UPC of 70552-30512

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Winco Foods recalls certain batch/lots of Winco Foods Frozen Blackberries and Winco Foods Frozen Berry Medley products from the American marketplace due to suspected risk of Norovirus contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled frozen Berries identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Winco Foods Frozen Blackberries and Winco Foods Frozen Berry Medley products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Frozen Berries to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
