Easy Camp branded Yarara Headlamps / Yarara Hodelykt Headlamps sold with an unknown model number and a barcode/EAN/UPC of 5709388056429. The product consists of a small Headlamp composed of LED lights powered by two (2) button batteries and comes equipped with an adjustable elasticized band.

No batch/lot designations, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other codes were listed with this recall.

The type of hazards presented in the recalled Easy Camp branded Yarara Headlamps / Yarara Hodelykt Headlamps include the reported finding that the solders in the product contain an excessive amount of the chemical Lead (measured value: 58.24 %).

Lead is highly toxic and can enter the body through the digestive system or the lungs. It accumulates throughout the body and can damage nearly every one of the body’s systems, but is particularly toxic to the nervous system including the brain. Lead is especially dangerous to children even at low exposure levels and has also been clinically shown to have the potential to cause intellectual, behavioral and other problems in kids. Potential health effects associated with exposure to high levels of Lead in all ages include vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, coma and death.

Disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect your personal safety, the local drinking water supply and the ecosystem.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these Easy Camp branded Yarara Headlamps / Yarara Hodelykt Headlamps do not comply with the requirements of the Europe’s Commission Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (“RoHS 2 Directive”).

Consequently, a recall of these Headlamps from purchasers and a withdrawal of the product from the European marketplace has been ordered.
