US NHTSA Recalls: Kia Sedona Vehicles

Among the fifty three (53) recalls the NHTSA announced this February comes news of the following:

Logo - Kia Motors AmericaKia Motors America (“Kia”), an Irvine, California establishment and a subsidiary of Kia Motors Corporation of Seoul, South Korea, has recalled an estimated 51,465 model year 2011-2012 Kia Sedona vehicles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V101000 reports the fuel rail may crack from exposure to heat generated within the engine compartment, resulting in a fuel leak.

According to the NHTSA, a fuel leak increases the risk of fire.

Kia will notify registered owners, and dealers will replace the fuel rail, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 16, 2020. Owners may contact Kia Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-333-4542. Kia’s designation for this recall is SC188.
