UK FlagUK/London: Nestlé UK Limited, a Gatwick, England establishment, updates its existing recall for certain batch/lots of Nestlé Ski branded Yogurt Variety Pack with Fruit Pieces from the British marketplace to include additional use-by dates. The original recall was initiated due to suspected rubber fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Yogurt Variety Packs are subject to recall:

  • Nestlé Ski branded Yogurt Variety Pack with Fruit Pieces, sold in 480 gram (4 by 120 gram tubs) with use-by dates of 21 February 2020, 22 February 2020, 28 February 2020, 29 February 2020, 6 March 2020, 7 March 2020 or 13 March 2020. Please note: dates in bold indicate new use-by dates that have been added on this updated notification.

==> No barcodes, EANs, UPCs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, this recall was initiated due to the suspected presence of black rubber fragment contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Ski branded Yogurt Variety Packs identified above.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic and/or rubber fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Yogurt products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Yogurt to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage.
