US FlagUS/Washington: Textron Specialized Vehicles, an Augusta, Georgia establishment, recalls an estimated 20,573 Gas-powered E-Z-GO, Cushman and Tracker branded Off-Road Vehicles from the American marketplace due to suspected starter generator wire attachment failure and consequential risks of fire, burn and property damage, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain as-powered E-Z-GO, Cushman and Tracker branded Off-Road Vehicles manufactured from November 2018 through June 2019 with certain non-sequential serial numbers ranging from 3377720 to 3440924. The serial number can be found on the kick panel below the driver side seat, as follows:

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the starter generator wire in the recalled Textron Off-Road Vehicles can be improperly secured, allowing it to come into contact with the vehicle’s exhaust, posing a fire hazard. Textron Specialized Vehicles has received thirteen (13) reports of melted and/or burned wires and electrical components and loss of vehicle function in some cases, including one report of fire. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Textron Off-Road Vehicles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Textron Specialized Vehicles for a free repair. Textron Specialized Vehicles is contacting all known (i.e., registered) purchasers directly.
