Among the twenty four (24) recalls the NHTSA announced this February comes news of the following:

Logo - American Honda Motor Co.American Honda Motor Co. (“Honda”), a Torrance, California establishment and a subsidiary of Honda Motor Company of Tokyo, Japan, has recalled an estimated 10,050 model year 2020 Passport and Pilot vehicles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V067000 reports the certification label may have been printed with ink that can be wiped away with a solvent, removing the Gross Axle Weight Rating (“GAWR”) and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (“GVWR”) information for the recalled vehicles.

According to the NHTSA, if the operator is unable to refer to the label information, the vehicle may be overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.

Honda will notify registered owners, and dealers will replace the certification label, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 17, 2020. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda’s designation for this recall is B6T.
