US FlagUS/Washington: Juratoys US Corp., a Millersburg, Pennsylvania establishment, recalls an estimated 980 Sophie la Giraffe Bead Maze Children’s Toys from the American marketplace due to suspected violation of the mandatory US Federal standard for small parts for children’s products and consequential risk of choking, ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports the recall includes a round wood-based Bead Maze Toy in the shape of the Eiffel Tower with a Sophie giraffe figure and three wooden shapes: Orange triangle, red heart and green star, that sort into the wood base.

  • The gray Eiffel Tower stands approximately eight (8) inches tall on a green circular base measuring approximately 6-3/4 inches in diameter with the following batch/lot numbers:
    • 9321/J09504/022019
    • 9474/J09504/042019
    • 9549/J09504/052019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the wooden triangle shape piece fails to meet the mandatory federal standard for small parts, posing a choking hazard to young children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Sophie la Giraffe Bead Maze toy, please do not use them or allow your child to play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If the Toy matches the recalled batch/lot numbers that can be found on the bottom of the Toy, parents and other caregivers should destroy the triangle piece and contact Juratoys to receive a free replacement triangle piece.
