US FlagUS/Washington: Infantino, a San Diego, California establishment, recalls an estimated 14,000 Go Forward 4-in-1 Evolved Ergonomic, Flip Front2back and Up Close Newborn Baby Carriers from the American marketplace due to suspected structural failure, component detachment and consequential risk of falls, concussion, bone fracture and lacerations, all serious safety hazards.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports tis recall involves certain Infantino Soft Infant and Toddler Carriers:

The front facing Infant/Baby Carriers are made from cotton and consist of a front padded pouch with either a black body with black straps or a gray body with black straps. Only Infantino Carriers with the following four (4) batch/lot codes are included in the recall with the product name and batch/lot code are identified on label sewn into the inside of the Carriers, as follows:

  • Go Forward 4-in-1 Evolved Ergonomic Carrier, sold with a batch/lot code of 2018 0619
  • Go Forward 4-in-1 Evolved Ergonomic Carrier, sold with a batch/lot code of 2018 0719
  • Flip Front2back Carrier, sold with a batch/lot code of 2018 0719
  • Up Close Newborn Carrier, sold with a batch/lot code of 2018 0719

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the buckles on the infant carriers can break, posing a fall hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Infant Carriers, please do not use them to transport your child. Instead, kindly contact Infantino for instructions on how to receive a free replacement carrier.
