Additional information:

Among the 59 (fifty nine) recalls the NHTSA announced this past month comes news of the following:

General Motors LLC (“GM”), a Detroit, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 2,866 model year 2014-2015 Cadillac CTS-V Sport vehicles equipped with 3.6L Twin Turbo V6 engines marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V038000 reports the roll pins in the rear-axle differential may fracture.

According to the NHTSA, if the roll pins fracture while the vehicle is in motion, the rear wheels may lock up and the driver can lose control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

General Motors will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear axle differential, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 9, 2020. Owners may contact Cadillac Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-333-4223 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”). GM’s designation for this recall is N192279370.
