PVSTOP branded Solar Panel Fire Retardant products sold with an unknown model designation and an unknown EAN/UPC. No production date, expiry dates, registration number, agency approval designations or other codes were listed with this recall. As illustrated on the left, the recalled Fire Retardant is delivered in nickel/silver-colored pressure tanks, each with a black hose and a single white product identification label.

The type of hazards presented in these recalled PVSTOP branded Solar Panel Fire Retardant products include the reported findings that the opening pressure of the safety valve of the tank containing the Fire Retardant is higher than the design pressure specification.

Specifically, the pressure of the tank valve tested at 27 bar. The rating for the tank itself, however, is just 20 bar.

A valve rating in excess of the tank rating may lead to risk of unexpected explosion and subsequent injuries including eye damage, laceration, bone fractures and concussion.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these PVSTOP branded Solar Panel Fire Retardant products do not comply with the requirements of Europe’s Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive and/or the requirements of Europe’s Pressure Equipment Directive.
