US NHTSA Recalls: Autocar Xspotter Vehicles

Among the sixteen (16) recalls the NHTSA announced this month comes news of the following:

Logo - The Autocar Company, LLCThe Autocar Company, LLC (“Autocar”), a Birmingham, Alabama establishment and subsidiary of subsidiary of GVW Group, LLC of Highland Park, Illinois, has recalled 3,448 model year 2015-2020 Autocar Xspotter vehicles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

NHTSA Safety Notification 19V922000 reports that the headlamp relay in the recalled vehicles may disconnect from the fuse box, causing the headlights to shut off.

According to the NHTSA, headlights failing can cause reduced visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Autocar will notify registered owners, and dealers will install a fuse box relay retainer, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 24, 2020. Owners may contact Autocar customer service toll-free at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486 during normal business hours, Eastern Standard Time Monday to Friday. Autocar’s designation for this recall is ACTT-2002.
