Ireland FlagUK/London and Ireland/Dublin: Unilever, a Leatherhead, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Pot Noodle Beef & Tomato Soup products from the British and Irish marketplaces due to improperly declared Celery and Mustard, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Soup products are subject to recall:

  • Unilever Pot Noodle Beef & Tomato Soup, sold in 90 gram paper pots with a predominantly red label, a batch/lot of L9282 and a best-before date code of JUL 2020

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Unilever has recalled one (1) batch/lot of Pot Noodle Beef & Tomato Soup products because they contain Celery and Mustard ingredients, neither of which is properly declared on the product label.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pot Noodle Beef & Tomato Soup and could be allergic to their Celery and/or Mustard ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
