Casa Madaio Burrata Cheese Recall [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Tyers Foods International IncTyers Foods International Inc., an Oakville Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Casa Madaio branded Burrata Cheese products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Escherichia Coli (E. Coli) and Staphylococcus aureus contamination and consequential risk of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Burrata Cheese products are subject to this recall:

  • Casa Madaio branded Burrata – Fresh Pasta Filata Cheese with a heart of cream, sold in 250 gram packages with a batch/lot of 19337, a use-by date of 12/20/2019 and a UPC of 8 058151 27505 3

According to the CFIA, D. Tyers Foods International has recalled certain batch/lots of Casa Madaio branded Burrata Cheese products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Escherichia Coli (E. Coli) and Staphylococcus aureus contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Cheese products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Burrata Cheese products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat E. Coli or Staphylococcus aureus Poisonings.
