US FlagUS/Washington: Hallmark Marketing Company LLC, a Kansas City, Missouri establishment, recalls an estimated 4,500 Frosted Balsam Jar Candles from the American marketplace due to suspected glass breakage hazards and consequential risks of laceration, fire, burns and property damage, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Frosted Balsam Soy Blend Jar Candles, as follows:

  • Each of the recalled Scented Candles is green and have three (3) wicks. The Candle’s glass jar measures approximately 5 inches high and 4.5 inches in diameter and has a metal top. The brand, Hallmark, Frosted Balsam and an image of a snowy pine cone appear on the front of the Candle. A date code of 9211D, a SKU of XKT1747 and a UPC of 763795556991 can be found printed on a white label on the Candle’s underside.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Jar Candles can be found on the Web site listed above.

According to the CPSC, when the candle is lit, the glass jar containing it can break, posing fire and laceration hazards. Hallmark Marketing has received six (6) reports of the glass jar breaking, resulting in fire damage to nearby items. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Frosted Balsam Soy Blend Jar Candles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
