SnakYard Salted Egg Fish Skin Recall [US]

US FlagUS/Washington: Alli & Rose, LLC, a Redlands, California establishment, recalls an estimated 21,930 pounds of SnakYard branded Salted Egg Fish Skin Siluriformes Catfish products from the American marketplace due to suspected failure to present for import re-inspection upon entry into the United States, a serious health hazard. In addition, the products were produced in Thailand, a country ineligible to export Siluriformes Fish products into the United States.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Salted Egg Fish Skin products were imported from Vietnam to the United States on various dates from October 21, 2019 through December 10, 2019. The following Fish products are subject to this recall:

  • The SnakYard Salted Egg Fish Skins, sold in 5.1-ounce pouches and shipped to retail locations in California, Maryland and New Jersey.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, this recall was initiated during routine US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) surveillance activities of imported products.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Fish Skin products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
