Canada/Ottawa: Tosuta International Sales Ltd., a Langley, British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Landers’ Australian branded Gluten free Macadamia Shortbread Biscuit products from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Shortbread Biscuit products are subject to this recall:

  • Lander’s Australian branded Gluten free Macadamia Shortbread Biscuits, sold in 175 gram packages with a best-before code of 23 SEP 20 and a UPC of 6 66394 00012 7

According to the CFIA, Tosuta International Sales Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of Landers’ Australian branded Gluten free Macadamia Shortbread Biscuit products from the Canadian marketplace because they contain Milk, an ingredient not declared on the label. People with an allergy to Milk should not consume the recalled Baked Goods identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Landers’ Australian branded Gluten free Macadamia Shortbread Biscuit products and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
