Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Sandals are subject to this recall:

  • Mini Moni Baby Sandals, sold in pink, black, gold and white colours with a Velcro closure with a small, decorative buckle

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Baby Sandals can be found on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, the small buckle on the side of the Baby Sandal Shoes may detach. If this defect occurs, the detached buckle can get lodged in an infant’s throat and pose a potential choking or suffocation hazard. In addition, the detached buckle may cause oral injury or if swallowed, GI tract laceration.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Baby Sandals, please do not use them nor dress your child in them. Instead, kindly contact Mini Moni to arrange for a product return and full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury and/or GI tract laceration.
