Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Portable Power Generator products are subject to this recall:

  • The blue Power Generators have the brand, “Yamaha” and the model designation printed on the control panel. The serial number can be found on a label below the exhaust outlet on the left side of the unit.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the moulded area of the fuel tank to which the fuel valve is mounted, was moulded at the incorrect temperature. The tank material can be too brittle allowing the tank to crack. If the fuel tank cracks, fuel could leak, increasing the risk of fire, which could result in severe injury or death.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Portable Power Generators, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact a Yamaha Power Products dealer to schedule a free repair. Yamaha is also contacting all registered owners directly.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat chemical burns and/or explosion injuries.

==> To see other recalls and notifications caused by suspected faulty and/or dangerous Portable Power Generators, please search for “flashlight” using the Search Box at the top of this page.
