Ourhome Spicy Jjamppong Soup Recall [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: Logo -Seoul TradingSeoul Trading Corp., a Port Coquitlam, British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Ourhome branded Spicy Jjamppongs, a Korean noodle soup with red, spicy seafood- or pork-based broth flavored with chili powder from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Oyster and Squid, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Spicy Jjamppong Soup products are subject to this recall:

  • Ourhome branded Spicy Jjamppongs Soup, sold in 1020 gram packages with a product code of 2020.09.11 and a UPC of 8 809257 824238. It is thought these products were distributed in Alberta and British Columbia.

According to the CFIA, Seoul Trading Corp has recalled certain batch/lots of Ourhome branded Spicy Jjamppongs Soup from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Oyster and Squid.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Spicy Jjamppongs Soup products and could be allergic to their Oyster and/or Squid Allergy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to handle Anaphylaxis.
