US FlagUS/Washington: Morris Meat Packing, a Maywood, Illinois establishment, recalls an estimated 515,000 pounds of various Raw, Intact Pork Products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and outside inspection hours with consequential risk of bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Raw, Intact Pork products were produced on Saturdays from November 25, 2017 to November 9, 2019 and are subject to this recall:

According to the USDA, the Pork products subject to recall bear establishment designation “EST. 18267” inside the USDA mark of inspection and were shipped to distributors and retail locations in the state of Illinois.

The problem was discovered when the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) received an anonymous tip that the firm was producing its Pork products without the benefit of inspection. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Pork products identified above.

The FSIS is concerned that some Pork products may be in your refrigerators or freezers. If you have purchased any of these Pork products you are urged not to consume them. Instead, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Pork products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
