US FlagUS/Washington: Central Valley Meat Co., Inc., a Hanford, California establishment, recalls an estimated 34,222 pounds of Stater Bros branded Ground Beef products from the American marketplace due to suspected Salmonella Dublin contamination and consequential risk of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Ground Beef products were produced on July 23, 2019 and are subject to this recall:

  • Stater Bros. branded 100% Pure Ground Beef 96% Lean 4% Fat, sold in one (1)-pound chub packages with a batch/lot of 2049 on the individual retail packaging, a batch/lot number of 19204 on the case label and a use-by code of 08-14-19
  • Stater Bros. branded 100% Pure Ground Beef 93% Lean 7% Fat, sold in two (2)-pound chub packages with a batch/lot of 2049 on the individual retail packaging, a batch/lot number of 19204 on the case label and a use-by code of 08-14-19
  • Stater Bros. branded 100% Pure 93/7 Ground Beef 10# Chub yen (10) pound Chubs/ 2 Count”, sold in twenty (20)-pound chub cases with a batch/lot of 19204 and a use-by code of 08-14-19

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail and/or wholesale presentation. Additional images of the recalled Ground Beef products can be found on the Web site above.

According to the USDA, the Ground Beef products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 6063A” printed on the retail labels next to the lot number and inside the USDA mark of inspection on the case labels. These items were known to have been shipped to retail locations in California. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Ground Beef identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Ground Beef, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
